Grofuse has delivered a new mobile-first website for Automatic, Ireland’s leading fire engineering contractor for private, public, commercial and industrial buildings.

With unrivalled experience and expertise in providing fire protection systems for a broad range of buildings In Ireland, it was important to deliver this message through an impressive and super-fast-functioning new website for the Dublin based company.

Automatic’s previous website was dated, basic and not mobile friendly. The client sought to reflect the company’s continued success with a large number of global partnerships they maintain with some of the world’s top 100 companies. Grofuse worked within the client’s branding guidelines and delivered a new online presence attributed to effectively targeting audiences across all devices.

Jack Butler, a Director at Automatic, sought a complete redesign of the company’s website as part of a full rebranding exercise. Jack and his team were involved in every step of the web design and development process to ensure the delivery of a site that both Automatic and Grofuse are proud of.

Automatic fire website launch


Automatic’s existing website and analytics data were assessed. Once we completed keyword research, we then identified the website’s purpose, determined the objectives and identified target audiences. A content creation plan, site maps and architecture were then created for optimal user experience.

UX and UI

A visual hierarchy and placement of content was established to ensure optimal layout. The Client’s brand standards were reviewed, and homepage layout and wireframes implemented. Our UX team worked closely with our UI designers and content creators to ensure mobile users found the content they needed to see easily as they scrolled through the site.


A customer management system (CMS) was set up and development of the design was implemented. User testing was conducted to optimise and adjust the build as required. Test performance was used across different platforms and devices to ensure a high-standard user experience.
