From Surviving To Thriving, Going Digital Has Been A Lifeline For Many Businesses

Grofuse is delighted to be featured in the Belfast Telegraph and receive recognition for our business growth during a difficult economic downturn. Our continued growth is achieved by safeguarding clients’ businesses with digital strategies to mitigate the impacts of Covid-19.

Grofuse Digital Director, Denis Finnegan, said: “Since March 2020, we have doubled our workforce to ten and increased our revenue by more than 150%. We have experienced an increase in demand for e-commerce development and digital marketing packages as many businesses have made dramatic shifts in their approach to doing business digitally.

“The pandemic has certainly forced a more rapid shift in consumer behaviours towards online shopping. This shift is expected by many to become permanent, and businesses are rightly taking heed of the need to invest more in online activity.”

Denis continued: “One of our clients, a wetsuits, beachwear and accessories business, saw an 890% increase in online revenue over the last twelve months. We had implemented inbound marketing campaigns so when demand increased during Covid-19, they were well placed to be found easily online and meet these new sales challenges.

“Another business Grofuse worked with saw its sales increase by 180% thanks to the company’s digital support, which included inbound marketing campaigns so that when demand increased during Covid-19, they were well placed to be found easily online and meet these new sales challenges.”

In response to the first lockdown in March 2020, Grofuse created the software as a service (SAAS) product Mercury Order Retail. The software is fully designed around the needs of smaller retailers to help make shop local digital. It allows retailers to adapt quickly to online trading with simple to use and cost-effective home delivery and/click and collect services for their customers.

Covid-19 has been a catalyst in the surge of businesses investing in their online presence. Grofuse works closely with each client on their growth strategy and rolling out digital activities that fuel increased sales. The methods Grofuse implemented to pivot to success for both our business, and our clients include:

  • Designing and developing bespoke e-commerce platforms.
  • Planning and implementing inbound marketing strategies to help businesses achieve their growth goals – these include Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to increase organic traffic, Pay Per Click campaigns (PPC) and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) to improve websites, boost customer experience and generate more online sales.
  • Designing and developing impressive, responsive websites that are fast loading and customer friendly.
  • Implementing our own SAAS e-commerce platform, Mercury Order.

“Helping businesses to succeed in order to take advantage of increased demand for certain products and services online has played a big part in our growth this year.

“Other businesses simply needed to offer an online version of their offering for the first time. Our team have worked with clients to help them with their strategy to pivot their business to survive and thrive during Covid-19 and prepare for post-pandemic growth.” Denis added.
